Secure Net protects all devices connected to the Telia Internet network against cyberattacks.
All Secure Net connections are guaranteed security on the basis of the same criteria. With Secure Net, the security filter is not personalised on a connection-by-connection basis.
Secure Net detects and blocks cyber threats to network traffic but does not solve them. Nor can Telia be held liable for the consequences of cyber threats to a customer, regardless of whether the customer uses Secure Net or not.

It does not make the connection or queries slower.
It does not process or store details of the traffic (data sent or received).
It does not restrict access or the exchange of information on the basis of its content.
It does not provide protection for attachments opened by email.

Initially, we will offer the Secure Net service on high-speed technologies such as fibre-optic, Vectoring and VDSL. We will let you know if we can offer the Secure Net service on other technologies.

Secure Net does not make the connection or queries slower.

We strongly recommend that you continue to use the antivirus service, as Secure Net only protects devices on the specific company’s network, and without antivirus protection, your devices are not protected on other networks. Telia offers its business customers the Computer Cyber Protection as an anti-virus service, which includes cutting-edge security software and the support of a cyber incident response security expert.

You can find information about attacks blocked by Secure Net in the self-service, from the Secure Net service report.

Choose the Secure Net connection from the self-service you want information about, open the additional services block and click on the ‘Security Filter Report’ button on the Security Filter icon.

In the graphical section of the report, you can see the events of the last month, week, and day, broken down into six main categories: blockages of vulnerability scans, blockages of exploits of infected devices, blockages of virus attacks, blockages of malware or phishing websites, warnings of suspicious or spammy websites, and blockages of websites with dangerous security certificates. You can also download a detailed report for more information.

You can also see detailed information on protected cyber threats, with recommendations on how to further protect yourself. Please note: the security filter does not allow you to see information by specific devices using the connection. This means that Telia cannot identify which device or user on the network has initiated the potentially dangerous traffic.

We recommend that you keep checking the Security Filter Report to identify any trends. Often, Secure Net on its own can be enough to mitigate the risks, but as the security solutions offered are different for each connection, it is also worth looking at other cybersecurity services..

In the case of the Secure Net service, Telia does not personalise the security filter on a connection-by-connection basis. All Secure Net connections are guaranteed security on the basis of the same criteria. If you report a possible error, we will look into it, but we cannot guarantee that the page you have requested will be marked as secure. Alternatively, you can subscribe to the Firewall service from Telia, which allows you to configure the security rules yourself. The safety filter can also be disabled, if desired.

The Security Filter system protects clients from threats by processing the content of the traffic on the internet connection, but Telia does not store the content of the connection traffic (data sent or received).

Secure Net does not restrict access or sharing based on content (e.g., violence, politics, adult content, gambling, etc.), but only on the basis of security rules and guidelines. Telia does not add content-based rules at the customer’s request.

Both services aim to improve the security of the connection. In the case of the Security Filter, Telia has set the security rules with the needs of as many customers as possible in mind. Special rules are not available in the Secure Net Security Filter, but the Security Filter can be disabled, if you wish. Within the Firewall service, security rules can be configured to suit each customer’s needs and the customer can change them at any time with Telia’s help, or assess their performance and adequacy.

The Security Filter does not filter emails.
