Telia Shows Good Results in Q3, Increases Investments
In Q3, Telia’s services revenue increased by 6.8% year-on-year, reaching €57.1 million. Earnings increased by 7%, reaching €24.5 million.
“This is our strongest quarter this year, evidence that we are on the right path forward. It is also important to note that we have decided to increase our investments in upgrading our broadband network by investing tens of millions of euros in the coming years. We will also continue our development of 5G, which we showcased at the Digital Summit in September,“ said Dan Strömberg, CEO at Telia Estonia.
The number of Telia’s mobile subscribers reached 929,000 in Q3.The number of active mobile data subscribers increased to 351,000.
The number of Telia TV subscribers increased in Q3 mostly due to Kanal 2 and TV3 leaving the free-to-air TV, as many free-to-air TV customers switched to paid services. In Q3 the number grew to more than 183,000. The number of broadband subscribers increased to 238,000.
Telia has 1,900 employees, and the company is a market leader in its focus areas.
